Are you a Coach, Educator, Health, Wellness or Mental Health Professional?

We are so happy you have made this step to a more resilient future.

Uplift Learning is committed to educating on building resilience. Adverse experiences of trauma impact resilience. We want to contribute to creating a trauma informed society which is the outcome of resilience. By taking the time to join us here we can see you are also looking to increase your ability to cope with life's difficulties or adversities.

This has been a tough time - for all of us.
How's it been going with taking care of others at work and at home?

More importantly, how is taking care of you going?

We can feel simultaneously guilty for not taking care of us and guilty for taking the time away from caring for others to take care of us. It’s like being between a rock and a hard place.

It can feel like a luxury to take care of ourselves amidst so many demands. The truth none of us want to see is that we can only ignore our self care for so long before we can’t keep going on.

As you may be aware, the first principle of trauma-informed practice is taking care of you because we need to take care of ourselves so we can keep taking care of others.

In a time where you are being asked to bend over backwards with new safety protocols and quarantine measures. When are you taking time to take care of you...to put your own "oxygen" mask on first.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed? Stretched beyond your capacity to feel empathy or compassion? Overly emotional or numb?

During the pandemic, life’s stressors have been amplified as we deal with fear of our loved ones or ourselves being health compromised. Economic uncertainty has affected many people causing serious, destabilizing effects. Social isolation is at an all time high impacting mental and emotional well being in unprecedented ways.

The fear of losing our wellbeing while needing to continue to care for others is overwhelming. That is why,

Ernestina’s authentic transformational learner-centered process uses brain-based teaching strategies to integrate theories into practices. It is a meaning-making process designed intentionally to incorporate interactions between peers, facilitators and content in the most engaging way possible.

Information does not equal transformation. Transformation comes from application being expressly taught using brain-based teaching strategies.
