It's a real shock to enter your professional practice to discover there are so many more challenges than you imagined. Your training prepared you to help others. It didn’t prepare you to take care of you in a system that’s less than ideal. No one tells you how helping others can impact you.

Are you looking to build more resilience to cope through stress and bounce back from adversity? What’s important to know is that our own stress load and level of exhaustion directly erodes resilience. Our ability to keep caring, working, helping and feeling empathy is related to our level of resilience.
